An Introduction to Dunlop Golf Balls.... by Kevin A Pears PhD
Dunlop 65 balls 1935 - 2010... The Dunlop 65 or Sixty Five as it began life is easily the most famous British golf ball. This ball was introduced in early 1935 to commemorate Henry Cotton's 65 in the 1934 British Open on his way to victory. Cotton had been using a Dunlop lattice ball, most likely the recessed variety as Dunlop did not chose to make the new Sixty Five in the lattice variety.
